TESTAMENT Singer To Guest On KCAL 96.7 FM's 'The Moshpit'

April 9, 2008

Chuck Billy of TESTAMENT will call into "The Moshpit", the Saturday night metal show on KCAL 96.7 FM in Riverside/San Bernadino, California, as part of an exclusive listening party for TESTAMENT's new album, "The Formation of Damnation". Tune in at 10 p.m. through 2 a.m. PST this Saturday, April 12 to hear host Mike Z. probe the mind of one of the most influential singers in thrash. Mike will play several cuts from the new album and will chat with Chuck about the much-anticipated return of TESTAMENT, survival, the trash metal resurgence, the new album, and the band's return to the road.

SoCal listeners can tune their dial to 96.7 FM, but listeners across the U.S. can stream the show live at www.kcalfm.com.

The title track of TESTAMENT's new album, "The Formation of Damnation", has been made available for download at this location. The CD is scheduled for release in North America on April 29 via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor and can be seen at this location.

As previously reported, TESTAMENT will be the featured artist on MTV for an entire week later this spring as part of the channel's "52/52" campaign. Performances including footage shot last Wednesday (April 2) on the Alcatraz Island (more commonly known simply as Alcatraz) and video material that was filmed at this past Sunday's (April 6) concert at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City along with interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage will air throughout the week.

MTV's "52/52" is a brand new way for the channel to give unprecedented exposure to unsigned artists, indie bands, and established acts on major labels in a completely new and innovative way. MTV handpicks one band/artist per week for the entire year and gives them the equivalent of roughly 11 hours of on-air commercial time per week on the channel.

Chuck Billy announced onstage Sunday night (April 6) at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City that his band has been confirmed as the opening act on the JUDAS PRIEST, HEAVEN AND HELL and MOTRHEAD tour.

"We'll be on first, and we're only gonna have 30 minutes, so we won't be doing any talking," Billy said. "We're just gonna hit you hard bam, bam, bam, bam with everything we've got."
